SUBJECT: Presidential elections in Yugoslavia were lost to Slobodan Milosevic. The opposition, headed by Zoran Djindjic had won, and their candidate Vojislav Kostunica took the majority of electoral votes. Faced with prospects of loosing power Slobodan Milosevic attempted to disrupt the election by use of force.
